Works directly with the Games Supervisor in construction of games, food and vendor booths for the State Fair Midway and other locations throughout Fair Park grounds. 01.01.2015 Food & Beverage/ Concessions

Replenishing supplies and condiments, assist in maintaining inventory and taking food orders. Maintain cleanliness in food service areas and throughout the food establishment. Notifying kitchen staff of any food orders or food shortages, or may be responsible for operating cooking equipment or preparing dishes and beverages. Must be able to operate drink-dispensing machines and be trained in fast paced food preparation. A knowledge of governmental health regulations and food safety is required. Food handling and sanitation knowledge is also vital. Should possess the ability to review and understand procedures, and general math skills are also necessary.

Helpful to have a food worker or food handler permit (City of Dallas).

This position is responsible for sales of State Fair Coupons in an accurate and friendly manner. The Coupon Sales Cashier is responsible for cash and credit card sales, handling of cash and credit/debit card transactions based on guidelines outlined by the Coupon Sales Management. 01.01.2015 Building Manager

Monitors vendor operations and vendor compliance with Exhibit Space Contract; acts as liaison between vendor and Exhibits Directors & Coordinator; interacts with Co- Building Manager, Vendors, Fair Guest, Maintenance, Security, Dallas Fire and Rescue and Police to provide a safe family friendly environment for vendors and fair guest.

01.01.2015 Operations/Rides

Operates mechanical riding devices and informs patron to fasten belt, bar, or other safety device. Moves controls to start and stop equipment, such as roller coaster, merry-go-round, ferris wheel or other amusement rides. Required to give directions to patrons, usually over microphone, regarding safety and operation of such rides. May be required to turn on current to permit operation of ride and turn off current after allotted time. Adds to or removes equipment, according to amount of patronage. May be required to oil, refuel, adjust, and repairs device. Tests equipment daily before opening ride to patrons.
