They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky. And now, The Addams Family is slinking its ghoulishly delightful way toward Dallas for a run at the Music Hall in Fair Park October 2 – 21. With shows daily except Mondays , the musical coincides with the 2012 State Fair of Texas, which begins September 28 and runs through October 21.

In this musical performance, one of America’s most endearing – and macabre – goofball clans spins an original Addams Family tale. Romance blooms as Wednesday falls in love; Pugsley becomes jealous of his sister’s diverted attention and Morticia experiences the bittersweet realization that her daughter is growing up and leaving her behind – “like yesterday’s roadkill.”  Audiences are in for quite a night when the family hosts a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.  A dream cast and elaborately eerie set make this musical one not to be missed.

This new musical comedy is created by Jersey Boys authors Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, Drama Deskwinning composer / lyricist Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party), choreographer Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys) and Olivier Award-winning director / designers Phelim McDermott & Julian Crouch (Shockheaded Peter) with creative consultation by four-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Zaks.
